Health Outreach Coordinator

COVID-19 Services 

The Town of Billerica seeks applicants for the position of Health Outreach Coordinator reporting to the Director of the Board of Health. This position will be full-time and temporary through December 31, 2021. The Health Outreach Coordinator is responsible for vaccine outreach and other COVID-19 related initiatives that promote the health and well-being in Billerica during the pandemic. 


Supports and assists in the coordination of and monitoring of community vaccine clinics, and organizes mobile immunization clinics and outreach events with schools, churches, neighborhood associations, businesses etc.
Provides current educational resources for COVID-19 public health information.
Provides intake services for vaccine referrals, assists clients in scheduling their appointments, and coordinates transportation for clients to vaccine appointments. 
Provides back-up support for the COVID-19 mitigation efforts run by other departments within the Town of Billerica.
Assists with data collection during immunization clinics. 
Collects and organizes paperwork necessary for vaccinations. 


Associate Degree in related field preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word) as well as database applications.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to plan, organize and collaborate with others while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all Town employees.
Salary: $30/hour; Temporary contract position
