The IBBR facility in Rockville, MD needs someone to act as the first point of contact for building occupants and visitors to the IBBR facility assisting them with facility related needs. Receives incoming work request and inputs into the work order system and performs complex clerical work requiring the application of varied procedures and specialized methods. Serves as a subject matter expert on and may provide guidance and instruction to other Facilities personnel regarding FMS data entry and retrieval.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED and TWO years in clerical work.
Experience:
• Two years recent clerical work experience in an office or academic setting or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that includes one year of full-time experience in related field.
• Candidate must possess strong communication skills both verbal and written, ability to work independently, and works as a team player with co-workers.
• Must be able to multi-task both in person and on the phone, and have the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office/ Windows and Excel and other office applications.
Preferences:
Experience working in a higher education setting a plus.
Additional Certifications:
Thou a driver’s license is not required for this position, there may be a need to travel throughout the campus to make deliveries and/or attend meetings. If driving a State vehicle, candidates must possess and maintain a valid Maryland Class “C” driver’s license with fewer than 6 points.
Physical Demands:
This position requires certain physical abilities, including but not limited to: the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time and the ability to lift 30 lbs.
