POSITION SUMMARY: Provides emergency medical support by responding to emergencies & stabilizing / packaging patients if needed. Responds to emergencies, offshore oil platform safety, personnel and cargo operations, gas detection system calibration, breathing air equipment inspections & repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completing SCBA inspections.
Completion of monthly calibrations on fixed and portable gas detection equipment. On some occasions troubleshooting & repairs may need to be completed.
Inventorying & providing safety supplies & replenish if needed.
Conducting safety audits / observations & correcting deficiencies if need be. Responds to emergencies, first responder on platform.
Determines medical and safety requirements at emergency scene by assessing medical status of injured persons; assessing prevailing circumstances; calling for support if needed. Stabilizes injured persons by rendering first aid; relaying status to medical personnel. Maintains order at emergency scene by controlling access; providing information to required personnel.
Maintains safe and healthy conditions by following organization medical standards and legal regulations. Clears emergency scene by transporting victims if needed or required. Completes incident / accident reports by entering required information. Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Any other safety support required by client staff.

MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING CERTIFICATIONS:
• Current EMT Certified – California & National Registry
• Offshore Platform experience needed
• Current California Driver's License
• Current First Aid CPR Card
• Oil Field experience is a plus
• Confined Space Rescue experience a plus
