Office Manager
Job Summary:
Our ideal candidate is organized and detail oriented with the ability to successfully perform various office operations. The candidate will be integral at ensuring the office operations are efficient and contribute to the overall success of the operation. They must be comfortable and effective at communicating with people of all levels of the organization as well with external resources. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel a must. Experience with Freight/Grain hauling and trucking logistics a plus.
Work Schedule:
- Full Time Position. 40 hour workweek. Monday through Friday. These are generally 8-hour shifts. Hours of operation are 7 am to 3:30 pm.
- Must be flexible in supporting the operations team during scheduled weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with safety programs and procedures.
- Reconciliation and filing of daily inbound & outbound receipts
- Dispatching of outbound loads and maintaining open dialogue with delivery drivers
- Processing and proper account coding of invoices
- Payroll administration
- Tracking of employee records
- Local benefits administration
- Assists with the recruiting and on-boarding of new hires
- Purchase Order generation and tracking of approvals
- Ordering and maintaining proper inventories of office supplies and PPE equipment
- Maintain office equipment and office cleanliness
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED degree required. Associate’s / Bachelor’s degree a plus. Or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You must have reliable transportation to be available for your scheduled work hours.
Physical Demands and Requirements:
Conditions reflect the current season in and around the plant. The noise level in the office work environment is usually quiet. Employee may be exposed to the plant environment from time to time. The noise level in the plant environment is moderately loud. The employee will regularly be required to sit and interface with computer systems while maintaining a high level of concentration. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable with a drug screen and background check.
Experience:
- Previous Office Manager Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
- ERP System and Microsoft Office: 3 years (Preferred)
- Human Resources: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
