Public Health Nurse - Project Position
The Iowa County Health Department is seeking applications for a full-time Public Health Nurse Project based position through December 2022. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting and supporting efforts to continue Coronavirus pandemic response activities including testing, coordination, planning, contact tracing, isolation and quarantine, vaccination and recovery; participating in health related community partnerships; providing health-related information and referral services one-on-one as well as in group settings, provide immunization services to clientele of all ages, provide general public health nursing assessment and care for individuals and families through home, office or telephone visits, and implement Public Health Preparedness and Response programs.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a National League for Nursing accredited program, one to two years of professional nursing experience related to the position preferred, current license to practice professional nursing in WI at time of hire. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communications skills, must be proficient in the use of personal computers and contemporary pc software, and have the ability to establish proficiency with Health Department database programs. Candidates must have the ability to transport self to required meetings or appointments that occur outside of the Iowa County Health Department.
Starting hourly wage for this exempt position is $28.88/hr. A generous comprehensive benefits package will be provided.
