Circulation District Sales

The District Sales Manager is responsible for building and retaining customers. Manage all activities related to delivery of The Frederick News-Post, alternate publications (OPP), the TMC product and other Frederick News-Post products within an assigned district. Oversees the work of independent contract carriers within the district to ensure customer service objectives are met. Keeps routes within assigned district filled with reliable carriers through on-going recruitment and route orientation efforts. Provides emergency coverage of newspaper routes that may be down or open until a replacement carrier is contracted.
A High School diploma or GED is required as well as strong GPS and map reading skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others is a must. Previous newspaper delivery and/or supervisory experience are a plus. Applicants must have insured, reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with no more than two points in the past 24 months.
